  • Greening Penn St - EPA
  • The goal of "Greening Reading's Penn Street Corridor" is to develop an innovative and implementable vision for a distinctive and ecologically functional streetscape which incorporates green infrastructure within the context of place. The design solution should serve as a symbol for the identity and values of the City of Reading, Pennsylvania and should reflect the city's rich historic context as well as the emerging cultural, fiscal and community values.

As interest in City living increases among millennials and others, Reading has a great opportunity to take a fresh look at this important urban corridor to improve the vitality of the City and re-establish Reading as a central attraction of Berks County.
